Our Mission
Boost.uno was created by three friends who shared a similar perspective that a modest gift could make a big difference in someone’s life. Too often hard-working people find themselves in a financial bind through no fault of their own. They work hard, take responsibility for their actions, and strive to always do what’s right for their family. But on occasion they’re hit with an unforeseen financial challenge that has negative knock-on effects beyond the initial financial hurdle. The foundation’s goal is to find individuals who are at such a crossroad and provide a single financial “boost” to get them back on track.
Boost
The word "boost" encapsulates our primary goal to provide a significant lift to individuals and families facing unforeseen financial challenges.
It symbolizes the immediate, impactful assistance we offer to help people regain their footing and move forward with renewed confidence.
Uno
The word "uno" signifies our focus on providing a singular, crucial support that can make a substantial difference. It also reflects our dedication to personalized, one-time interventions that address immediate needs without the complexity of ongoing commitments. It embodies the idea that sometimes, one decisive act of support can transform a challenging situation into an opportunity for recovery.
Recipient Stories

Lisa
Lisa is a domestic violence survivor who relocated to care for her mother. She has a job, but walks 3 miles to work each morning and relies on a neighbor to get home each night. Boost.uno provided a grant to purchase a used car to ensure Lisa can maintain employment and gain some independence as she pieces her life back together.

Edward
Edward has been living on a fixed income for 20 years, but has always been able to make ends meet including rent for his apartment. Unfortunately, he received a 30-day notice to vacate as his landlord decided to renovate and double the rent. Boost.uno provided a grant to relocate Edward and get him settled in a new apartment he can afford.
-
Kevin
Kevin is a young man who has battled addiction, but is currently sober. He holds a steady job and is managing to get his life in order. Unfortunately, his new roommates (he was placed in an apartment) are drinking and using drugs. This has created an untenable situation.
